Narrow profiles, large dimensions, maximum natural light
In steel windows, the welded joints provide great rigidity to the structural elements. This makes it possible to span relatively large dimensions with small profiles. The modulus of elasticity for steel is three times higher than that of aluminium. Steel can be used to achieve huge spans without expansion joints.
Both the insulated Janisol® window profiles and the non-insulated Economy 50 window profiles can also be delivered in stainless steel. Demand is increasing for window systems that insulate better. Jansen developed the Janisol® HI series for this. This profile series combines the advantages of steel with the passive house standard.
